Do you think the Flip will be FPV compatible?

"Wanted to" is far more complex and multifaceted than just the technical challenge, which might be utterly trivial. As just a possible example, suppose doing so results in support contact projections that necessitate hiring an additional employee to answer calls, chat requests, etc.? With the...

    360 Pano questions

Then of course, don't! Remember your Neo is so much tougher than your Flip (I have them both too), and while your Flip has a better camera, you can do thing with the neo that cause some cringe with the Flip and it's delicate gimble.

    360 Pano questions

I suspect they went so wide because of the FPV support.

Keeping the phone in a pocket while flying?

Another use case for the pocket is voice control. I was using it this way over the weekend to adjust follow parameters dynamically. It's pretty neat making the video a bit more interesting while it's "hidden" that you're controlling it.

    RC 2 Controller

    Yes... I am.

Do you think the Flip will be FPV compatible?

Only reason I can see not to is incremental support costs, which could be an issue at the Flip price point.

Adjusting intelligent flight settings without phone

Nope, identical to the neo in this regard.

Should I upgrade from my mini 2 to a flip?

Reasons to upgrade: Much better camera dlog-m video 4K video much safer around people (especially kids) autonomous selfie features smartphone wifi control Intelligent Flight Modes (Focus Track, Hyperlapse, etc.) more rugged 2gb internal storage Reasons not to upgrade: none of the reasons...

Where does it fit in the lineup? Flip vs Neo, Mini4 Pro

I agree Chris, probably get "camera drone" FPV functionality... MC only, no stick, and no manual.

    Ken Herron Goggle hack ?

Well, I see why (product roadmap/plans, target customers, market segmentation, support costs, etc.), so for me it's more a matter of I want something different than they do.

Flip can be a Category 1 Drone...

These days with SDRs RID is truly simply a matter of programming. It can be added to the Flip when DJI decides to with a firmware update.

    its early ,days yet

Having flown it few times, it's fits clearly between the neo and the M4P (both of which I have). A budget compromise for younger people on a budget. All the selfies stuff popular with the sound crowd, but can be a real drone with the O4 controller and 3-axis, 1/1.3" high quality camera. It...

    its early ,days yet

If there's a discussion somewhere where these problems are being talked about, could you post a link? Admittedly, i haven't pushed it hard, but I haven't had any problems, other than bad low-light VPS indoors, but I expected that.

Turns out 2 Canadian days = 2 American days after all!

Word is they're carbon fiber. Feels like it.

Turns out 2 Canadian days = 2 American days after all!

More observations... Charging orientation that works well: Prop guards may be replaceable, not as easy as the neo snap-on, but maybe not necessary to send it in. Check the seams an screws:
