I quickly lost interest in the DJI Neo when I learned about the poor video quality and lack of control over settings when flying autonomously. The Flip seems to have solved the quality problem but I’m unclear about how much control you have without phone or controller. I at first thought you could only adjust intelligent mode settings such as distance by using the phone but I recall in one video the guy briefly mentioned that you could change those with buttons on the drone itself. So that’s my first question. Was he correct? If so, how do change those? Thanks in advance..

As far as I know you can’t, just like the NEO. If you use a phone you have some limited control over settings also just like the NEO. You need a controller for full control.

Thanks for your replies. Next questions are, can you set it to the dlog, flatter color profile on the phone, and have it stay that way when flying autonomously? Same for exposure compensation, can you set it to underexpose and have that setting retained when you fly autonomously?

If it works like the NEO does, then no. You need to be using a controller to change and use all those settings. I don’t actually have a Flip so I could be wrong. Maybe someone with one will confirm.
