Welcome! For someone new to drones, I would recommend the DJI Care Refresh package. It's like insurance if you were to crash your drone and becomes inoperable. You can get it replaced for a minimal fee.

Welcome! The Flip, and even the Neo for that matter, are great entry level drones to give you a taste of the hobby. Once you buy one drone, they seem to multiply...haha. I have 7 in my fleet.

I think it's possible. I wouldn't use manual control in the app for fear of accidental movements. Stick to the "Follow Me" or "DirectionTrack" modes with the mic hooked up.

I think comparing the Flip to the Mini 4 or Neo would be a better comparison.

Not sure if the discussion was here or over in the Neo forum, but the thinking was that the FPV wouldn't be possible with the Flip because of the design with how the arms fold and flying upside down might close up the arms.

It’s been getting mixed reviews, even from those who normally get early test units from DJI. I think a lot of it that people don’t really understand the use case for the Flip. The Flip can’t do FPV, and that turned people off too. I think if the Flip came out before the Neo, it would have been...
