Welcome to the forum. It's a little more quiet over here, but I do check in from time to time. Since the Flip's release, wind has been an issue where I live, so I haven't used my Flip too much yet.

I like the Flip over the Neo when I want to take high quality RAW photos and want the features of the Neo. I like the Neo when I just want something quick to share on social media (i.e. showing the day-over-day melting of snow on my property) and I don't care too much about IQ.

I agree, it would be a great option. I know this forum isn't the size of its siblings, but there should be a section like this here similar to the Neo forum. Keeps it consistent too.

Welcome! For someone new to drones, I would recommend the DJI Care Refresh package. It's like insurance if you were to crash your drone and becomes inoperable. You can get it replaced for a minimal fee.

Welcome! The Flip, and even the Neo for that matter, are great entry level drones to give you a taste of the hobby. Once you buy one drone, they seem to multiply...haha. I have 7 in my fleet.
