hi flip flyers, from what i can tell, from the huge amount of issues, that some flip flyers are reporting ,this is really nothing new, when DJI bring a drone to the Market Place, there is always a period when consumers ,who buy on first release ,have to wait for issues to be ironed out,in the first few months of ownership ,this is not just a DJI problem ,but happens to other brands as well

I enjoy flying the old MA2 and the recently acquired NEO.

The FLIP is a flying 3 axis camera platform between the two IMO.

But I'm satisfied so far with what I have. :)

Mine is still sitting in the box. It’s still mint, that’s all I can report right now. 😂

If there's a discussion somewhere where these problems are being talked about, could you post a link?

Admittedly, i haven't pushed it hard, but I haven't had any problems, other than bad low-light VPS indoors, but I expected that.

I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos and initial reviews on the Flip and there is a wide range of views about this drone, both positive and negative but as far as there being a huge amount of issues, I haven't heard of that many. Can you list some of the ones that you are referring to?

The main criticisms so far seem to be that it is slower than the Mini 4 Pro, and that due to the design of the enclosed props, it is not as stable in wind gusts as the Mini 4 Pro is.

FWIW, if I did not already have a NEO and a Mini 3 Pro, I would definitely have purchased the Flip.

Unboxed my Flip, charged the batteries and updated the firmware. It’s been very cold (-10°F/-23°C) so no flights on it yet.

That's cold!! It's been cold here too with a low of -22ºC today. Tomorrow it is supposed to be a low of -19ºC, so a little warmer.

Hopefully, you will get some warmer weather to get out in and take your maiden flight.

Having flown it few times, it's fits clearly between the neo and the M4P (both of which I have).

A budget compromise for younger people on a budget. All the selfies stuff popular with the sound crowd, but can be a real drone with the O4 controller and 3-axis, 1/1.3" high quality camera. It shoot dlog.

So you can toss the fairly rugged folded up drone in a jacket pocket, do rockets and drones out with friends, then grab the RC-N3 out of the car in the evening and capture stunning sunsets from up high over the city lights.

Hover X1 can't do that. Neo can fly it, but can't duplicate the M4P footage like the Flip.

Its nice I can take the Flip out and about with that flexibility, rather than hauling around the neo and M4P, which I don't anyway.
