That’s cool if you already have the old goggles and a tablet with hdmi out, but I don’t see why DJI just can’t release a firmware update to make the Flip compatible with the current goggles and at least the MC3.

Well, I see why (product roadmap/plans, target customers, market segmentation, support costs, etc.), so for me it's more a matter of I want something different than they do.

You are probably right. If they increased the compatibility then likely the NEO purchases would die off.

Hey Guys,
If you are using the DJI RC 2 with your FLIP and you happen to have a pair of the Epson BT-40 Smart Glasses you can use these instead of DJI Goggles. Just plug the BT-40 directly into the USB-C connector on the bottom of the RC2 and Vola this works great. Just make sure the BT-40 glasses are connected to the RC2 before you power it up, for some reason the glasses won't be recognized by the RC2 unless they are connected first.

I have seen the BT-40 Glasses on Ebay for ~$300 to $400 and I think the BT-35 and some of the other versions might work as well. I know the BT-40 version works but can't be 100% sure about the others.

Happy Flying

You can also use the flip with the googles 1 using the rc controller without the hdmi output as the rc- n3 using screen mirroring on an iPhone. This requires no tethering from the controller to the goggles at all
