Can 1 RC 2 Controller control a Flip and a Mavic Air 3s (not at same time) or do I need controllers individually?

From Goggle...

Which remote controllers are DJI Flip compatible with? A: It is compatible with DJI RC 2, DJI RC-N3 and DJI RC-N2.

Which goggles and motion controllers does DJI Flip support? A: It is not compatible with any goggles and motion controllers.

It sounds complicated but it is a very simple process after you have bound both drones to the controller.

For example my RC Pro can control both my Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro. If for example I have previously used my Mavic 3 then want to fly my Mini 3 Pro, I choose it from the list of drones then wait for a brief moment while the controller switches to the correct firmware for the Mini 3 Pro. If I want to switch back to the Mavic 3, then I repeat the process - very simple.

RC 2 can control both drones however each time the drones are changed they will have to be relinked.
That's incorrect.
After you've activated the first craft and 'updated' the firmware, that craft is linked.
When you start to link and activate the second craft, you'll need a firmware update again, for the second craft. Once that is completed, both are linked and routine re-linking shouldn't be necessary.
When you switch from one craft to another there will be an extra dialog box asking if you want to switch firmwares. Confirming will open up the Go Fly window appropriate for the "new" craft.
I just completed this process and have flow both a M4P and Flip, 'flipping' back and forth without complication.
